Have you had trouble not being able to reach the green when your greenside and 15 yards out? Are you struggling with the way your game is playing and it's all due because you don't know how to chip? Well, theres a great tutorial at Golf Tutorials that will help you get the fundamentals and basics down on how to chip the ball. Chipping seems to be one of the easiest parts of the game of golf, but many amateurs struggle with it.

Once you catch a hang of what you need to do, chipping can be quite fun and can be one of the highlights of your golf game. Some things you'll want to practice is playing the ball back in your stance and putting your weight on your front foot. (There is a great photo of this at parhunter.com). When you do this your weight will make sure that the ball will stay low and you will not chunk it or pop it up. Many amateurs get intimidated by chipping and don't want to skull the ball way past the green because of this many amatuers hit the ball too softly and the ball is then chunk and a stroke that didn't need to be lost is. Make sure to keep your feet about shoulder width apart and to keep a little of an open stance. This will help you to keep the ball low and not skull it.
